konqueror your Windows Desktop!
I wasn't very active in the last few weeks - probably because I haven't yet found any rhythm.
Basically I work day and night on KDE to make my dream come nearer: AmaroK under windows.
But today is another day: We had severe problems with the kioslaves recently and thanks to Christian they are gone now. I think I have to thank him a lot and already wrote a mail this morning.
I wasn't to lazy too and after he committed the patches to kdelibs I rebuild kdelibs and all the following libraries with Holger's famous emerge tool - and after a lot of thinking I got kdebase running.
In kdebase/apps some apps are contained;dolphin (the new kde file manager), konqueror (the old kde file manager+browser+...+...).
Since it seemed to be a successful build, I tried it out in the very same hour the build finished - and - it worked.
From Today on there is another browser working on the windows platform - heise.de - I am coming!
for all people that do not believe it, here is the screenshot:
first version of konqueror on w.k.o
I wrote this article in konqueror as well, but there are some tweaks still - the upload of the picture didn't work, https:// isn't working too etc. etc. - but it is alpha-ware now on windows, not pre-alpha anymore.

So far,
SaroEngels a.k.a.
